2021.11.30 15:19 Mathwins LoanSnap recently announced they had minted the first NFT mortgages in existence, using their Bacon Protocol.
The benefits of such tokens, according to LoanSnap, are lower mortgage rates, faster loan approvals, and greater flexibility around repayment terms. The explanation being that as the blockchain can permanently record information like applicant credit score, debt-to-income ratio, and home value, the need for verification through middlemen is eliminated—in turn reducing the cost and time involved in the lending process.
On a technical level, what LoanSnap has done is mint NFTs tied to individual mortgage liens (the property ownership rights that collateralize mortgage loans), and then used those non-fungible assets to back their stablecoin, known as the bHOME token. As payments are made towards the mortgage, or the underlying property appreciates, the bHOME token grows in equal value—generating a return similar to what a bank would receive as a mortgage lender.

2021.11.30 15:19 Spychiken81 A History of Necromancy and Undead in Nepa
Overview Undead are perversions of life. These beings can be either corporeal or incorporeal. All of them are defined by a lack of a trait that makes up life. While all undead lack physical traits that would qualify them to be alive, they all specifically lack one psychological trait that usually drives the being to madness. As a result, Undead are a threat to living creatures in one way or another. Undead are not naturally occurring. Instead, they are anomalies that were introduced into the world by the meddling of Wizards into the realm of Necromancy.
History of Necromancy The field of Necromancy composes a natural part of the magic that exists interwoven through the world. Originally created by the gods to be used as a channel for mortal souls to be restored to life, this school of magic has since been perverted. Necromancy was used for two purposes by the gods, as a vehicle to reward mortal souls with extended life or as a vehicle to punish a mortal soul to death. It was not created with the purpose of making undead.
However, Wizards attempted to wield this school of magic independently of the will of divinity. These attempts were at first considered catastrophic failures. Returning the dead to the world of the living without the aid of divinity often resulted in the creation of the first Undead. More complex rituals were created with the hopes of a successful resurrection, but these lead to the creation of stronger and more complex undead.
Eventually, these monstrous creations were looked upon as an opportunity. Some saw the potential for an army. Others saw the potential to cheat death. The field of Necromancy has now since been expanded into the ability to create many kinds of Undead.
Types of Undead There are two main types of Undead. Corporeal and Incorporeal. Corporeal Undead are defined as such because they retain a physical form, usually made of flesh or bone. Incorporeal Undead are defined by their strange bodies that are capable of moving through matter as though it were not dead. Some Incorporeal Undead are tied to energy or lack thereof, such as the Wraiths which exist to sap energy. Below is a list of the most common types of undead that exist within the world.
Zombies: The most common type of undead. They are defined by a lack of intelligence. Zombies think of nothing. Instead, they are easily commander by Necromancers or driven by instinct. It's been said that some zombies seem to still remember family members or familiar places from their life. However, with their mental faculties in ruin, they respond to these with anger, frustration, and grief.
Skeletons: The second most common undead. Somehow these undead remain capable of slightly higher thought than zombies. However these undead lack independence. They can often be found making up the bulk of a necromancer's army as a result. These undead will obey any command to the letter. Although their lack of independence often means these undead lack the will to disobey an order even when it would benefit them.
Ghosts: An incorporeal undead composed of wayward souls that have been intensely suffused by necromantic energy. As a result, these undead lack the ability to feel joy. All they are left with is rage and despair, which often results in these undead wailing into the night. However, if someone can manage to spark a momentary joy in a Ghost, the necromantic energy that holds them will dissipate.
Wraiths: An incorporeal undead composed of a soul that has been intertwined with shadowstuff. Due to the nature of shadowstuff, these undead can never be exposed to sunlight lest they quickly be dissipated. These undead lack the ability to touch anything living. When a wraith touches a living thing, they unwittingly corrupt the soul.
Specters: An incorporeal undead created from a corrupted soul. These undead are very rare to find on their own. More often than not they can be found following a Wraith that may have created them. These undead lack a sense of self, they have no understanding of who they once were nor what they are now. This great confusion breaks whatever sanity survived the corruption, leaving Specters as jealous, wrathful beings driven by the intent to tear down the living.
Banshees: An incorporeal undead that can often be heard before it is seen. All Banshees appear the same. It takes a keen eye and an expert to be able to tell different Banshees apart. This is because Banshees lack their appearance. They are blank-faced, appearing as pale humanoid figures who can only create a vacuous hole for a mouth. These undead often are produced by necromantic curses inflicted upon a living person.
Poltergeists: An incorporeal undead that can not be seen. These undead lack more of a physical form than any other. They are nothing but pure thought. The echo of a mind becomes trapped within very weak necromantic energy. As a result, these undead lack purpose. They are a loose collection of thoughts with no ability to communicate or understand and so they spend their time thrashing about in space.
Ghouls: Animalist, ravenous, and mad. Ghouls are corporeal undead, They are defined by their lack of satisfaction. No matter how long they walk upon the earth, their hunger for the living well never be satiated. Ghouls are consistently hungry and when faced with a lack of living flesh, it is not uncommon for Ghouls to cannibalize one another. They think of nothing but when to feed.
Wights: Wights are corporeal undead prone to extreme fits of violence. These undead lack restraint. They are often carried away by their bloodlust in battle. These undead are intelligent and are capable of wielding a variety of weapons. On the battlefield, Wights are sadistic, going out of their way to target the vulnerable, injured, sick, or dying. The torture of living things often causes Wights to cackle with an approximation of glee.
Revenant: Revenants are highly unusual when compared to other undead. These undead are not artificially created. Instead, Revenants are raised by a soul's deep cry for justice in their final moments. When the plea is strong enough, the soul ties itself to this plane through necromantic energy, intent on hunting down the person or persons who committed a crime against them. Revenants are relentless and unyielding. They lack a sense of surrender.
Mummies: Mummies are dangerous corporeal undead with great power. Unlike many others, these undead are often trapped within their own tombs. However, this is their greatest strength. Mummies lack freedom, they are physically unable to leave the area under their control. Mummies can only then be found in their own territory. More worrisome is the fact that the longer a mummy spends in an area, the more lands become suffused with their influence.
Vampires: One of the most powerful corporeal undead. Vampires are defined by their lack of humility. All of their actions are motivated by a deep sense of vanity and pride. They believe themselves above all living things. Their strong will often affect the lands around where they stay. Vampires will hardly ever listen to a necromancer, and often they themselves turn to necromancy to create loyal minions to command.
Lich: The culmination of corporeal undead. Liches are created by their own power. These undead have tied down their souls, forcing their bodies to exist beyond their natural boundaries. They continue to feed this power by using other souls as sustenance. These undead lack a sense of time. The world is fleeting, and only they are eternal. Or so they would like to think.

2021.11.30 15:19 _jcooper I (34m) earn a comfortable living but significantly less than my wife (24f) and it makes me feel insecure
My wife works for an engineering company and already earns significantly more than me. I’m currently taking time off work to look after our kids so that she can continue in her profession. This makes me feel emasculated and I spend most of my time when not looking after my daughters just playing video games. I wouldn’t mind a career change at some point, I just feel like Im the one who should be earning more or at least we should both be on a similar level of earning power. What can I do to adjust to these feelings of inadequacy?
